Health Coaching with Serena
Firstly, I have absolutely loved every single session of my Health Coaching with Serena.
I was initially interested in Health Coaching as I wanted to make a conscious effort to understand my body more and adopt good, healthy habits with the view to have an overall healthier lifestyle.
Prior to starting coaching; I felt heavily fatigued daily, I had an inconsistent relationship with food and generally just felt exhausted in all aspects of life. When starting coaching with Serena, I explained that I wanted to understand my body more and how to tend to its needs, I wanted to develop a healthy, conscious relationship with food, I wanted to feel more energised in life, I wanted to start prioritising myself as an individual and to start practising self-care and I wanted to take some steps in managing my extreme fatigue. Predominantly, I wanted to focus on my relationship with food, my sleeping pattern and making healthy changes to my lifestyle to better manage my PCOS.
I expressed to Serena that I did not want intense, forceful sessions and did not want to feel as if I was making any drastic changes or decisions, instead I wanted to adopt healthy habits that I could incorporate into my daily lifestyle.
I feel that Serena has listened to and most importantly validated my health concerns and she has invested more time and effort into helping me manage these more than any other health professional has. I felt comfortable enough to not only convey my health concerns but to also confide personally in Serena to allow her to see the bigger picture.I cannot express how much Serena has helped me to flourish within myself and how much Serena has prioritised my well-being throughout every single session. Serena has helped me to ensure that I am putting myself and my well-being at the forefront of all of the decisions I make and to prioritise making smaller changes where and when possible, as opposed to making any unpredictable or drastic changes or decisions.
Serena provided a wealth of advice and information regarding food items that would aid managing my PCOS and fatigue, to which I have used to create a sustainable and manageable food plan for myself that I am enjoying and feel that I can comfortably follow. With regards to food and my PCOS, Serena has removed a lot of the negativity I had associated with these two things and she has stressed the importance of understanding that food is my friend and not something to fear.
Serena has also stressed the importance of self-care to me and has expressed that I cannot pour energy into other aspects of my life unless I start with myself. Having Serena as my coach has also led me to reignite my passion and take the plunge back into swimming which I am eternally grateful for.
The swimming has become a part of my weekly routine and has allowed me to prioritise my self-care and my 'me time'.
Every single session has been the right level of intensity and Serena has managed to accommodate my energy levels, as this is something that I felt I was struggling with. Serena has set me smaller and larger goals depending on my energy levels and the kind of week I had and I feel that this meant that coaching stayed not only enjoyable, but valuable for the both of us too.
Serena has provided me with some invaluable coaching and life lessons that I will continue to use and implement in my daily lifestyle.
I could not have faulted a single session that we had together and I feel extremely lucky to have had someone as passionate, knowledgeable and understanding as Serena as my coach.
